Today you are you, that is truer than true, there is no one alive who is youer than you
Lliosa was... growing, she was changing. Slender cream limbs were growing, adjusting, changing. As the lithe young girl ran and played, muscles formed under taught skin. The pre teen femme had been tucked away in Wudubearo, a thick web of trees and branches blocked out the sky where Justice had hidden his pups, and the mothers throughout the pack had taken turns feeding the orphaned pups. It was magical and wonderful and not at all... natural. The world was a cold place, it demanded excellence, drive, fight. The world outside blossom called for survival of the fittest, and there was no place for a litter of baby wolves with no mother in it.
That, was a world Lliosa knew nothing about. She knew nothing of magical borders and portals and all of the pain and agony that stretched for eternity outside of the protective land she had been placed within. But Blossom Forest was not as safe as it once had been, and that was why the young girl had been hidden away.
But you could only contain a child for so long, so the moment she was able, the chocolate and cream vixen was off, running, weaving in and out of trees and laughing, barking to her sister as they ran, too large pawsteps made the awkward girl stumble, and her sister pushed her nose into her rump as she passed, calling out “TAG” as she ran by. Huffing, Lliosa shook off the dirt from her earthen toned pelt and rocketed forward, chasing after her, but her sister was too far ahead, her footsteps too quiet, too agile, and soon the mud splattered pup slowed, and looked around, lost within the maze of the trees, and trapped under their canopy.
The forest, was silent, and yet it cried out with noise, suddenly, as she took it in, Lliosa could hear everything all at one. From above, the wind shhhh’ed soothingly, rubbing branches and leaves together, hues of green spun to make a perfect quilt, hues from deep forest green to the lightest of peridot, glittering beneath the sun, and allowing fragile beams of filtered light to pass through. Amidst the leaves and branches, were little birds, singing and chirping, as Lliosa’s chocolate auditories rotated, she heard the flapping of winds and sharp nails grabbing onto branches. Moving down, lower, small animals scuttled through, squirrels chased and played freely in this section of forest, unafraid of the clumsy wolf pup. Flies buzzed loudly, landing and taking off, zooming around with ease and, almost, a sort of grace she thought. A frog, moving through the damp undergrowth caught Lliosa’s eye, and she bowed, dropping her chest to the ground as her sharp ocean optics locked onto the amphibian. Her two toned banner waves in the air, as she watches, poised to strike. And suddenly, she is off, running after the frog, sprinting so fast she almost misses as her jaws clamp together on the slimy little creature, she giggles and takes off, running through the forest, finally, the lass comes to a clearing and she slides to a stop, dropping the prize to the ground elated. However her pride soon wavers and falls as the frog falls lifeless to the ground.
Lliosa had never grabbed a living creature before, had never known the fragility of life, so when the body hits the ground and doesn’t move, she scowls and paws at it, rolling the animal over, again and again, covering it’s slimy body with pieces of dirt and chunks of dried leaves. Finally, with a huff, the girl looks around, bored, and realizing, for the first time, alone.
