Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

It wasn’t that he had been roused from his sleep by any means of kicking or irritation. No, he had been deep within his slumber, having been run ragged the night before from all of the fun that his parents had had planned for them. And he was dreaming adventurous dreams now - only this time, he had a beautiful set of wings. He could climb to the tips of the trees, using his wings to support him and push him up farther with powerful beats from the appendages. And once he was at the top? Evandros would leap off and soar higher than the eagles did, looking down on the land below… Only it was not night anymore, it was day. Back-and-forth, to and fro, he swept from one angle to the other until he found what he was looking for - a herd of moose. From up here, they looked small, like little ants running about his feet. He dove, the angle of his wings sharpening as he attacked as a peregrine falcon would. The winged wolf plummeted towards the earth in a controlled yet dangerous dive, until at the last minute, he lifted his wings so that he would not crash to the earth, but still managed to hit exactly on the center of the moose‘s spine, and he heard a resounding snap. The rest of the herd scattered, and this one was left for him to do with it as he would. He took a single bite and the meat was so warm, the blood delicious, but then his prey was being lifted away from him. Without wings of its own, its lifeless body was floating up in the air. Evandros pushed off of the earth, amazed at the strength of his muscles as he was an adult now, no longer a pup, and his wings ached with the effort as he climbed higher and higher and higher up into the sky, chasing after his pray. But then there was the great ball that was the sun, and it blinded him. So he shut his eyes and followed his nose, and still went higher and higher… But then his dreams shifted, but he felt loss, absence, depression. It was the loss of his wings that shit him! Suddenly, he was falling toward earth, not in a dive or fall that was controlled, but haphazardly spinning round and round and round and round and round… The ground was getting closer by the minute. He screamed for help, but no sound left his mouth and just as he was about to hit the ground, he woke up.

No!

The pup jerked and sat up straight, panting and gasping for breath. The bright rays of sunlight that had managed to sneak through the mouth of the cave blinded him and he blinked rapidly before swinging his head around - he had no wings and he was a pup again... safe and sound in his parents’ den with his siblings... except for one... Evandros stood up and shook out his pelt. “Ronan?” The pup whispered, looking for his brother, and scrambled around his sleeping family, but Ronan was nowhere to be found. The pup whined, but hushed suddenly as his mother stirred - she did not like being up during the day, and so he did not want to wake her. His gaze looked toward the darkness of the back of the cave - there were tunnels back there that his brother could have explored... or perhaps had he instead gone outside... into the sun? Hesitantly, Evandros started to stumble out of the cave, still sleepy, and trotted out toward the peak - how different it all looked when there was not only the moonlight to see by! How shiny, how beautiful, how colorful! Evandros tipped excitedly, and began jumping around, but paused as he caught onto the scent of his brother. Once again he looked for him.... there he was! Heading away from the den toward the forests and mountains that laid beyond the boundary!

Ronan, wait up! I wanna come too!
