hey fellow,consultant,reality, consult/trainees would still carry the legal responsibility - there is a debate over this issue right now but eventually they would carry some form of 'shared responsibility'- this swapover roles is being introduced in steps. There are already automated smart lasers doing prp,focals, caps controlled by a hand-held operated mouse in a seperate room. One of our 'specialist MR nurse' attended a training session last year. These will be around in NHS fairly sooner than expected.
