Very possible and I have heard both Yellow-billed Cuckoos and Black-billed Cuckoos calling this week. The brown flashes on the wing primaries is another way to separate Yellow-bellied Cuckoo from Black-billed Cuckoo when you can't see the bill colour well. In your case, you saw the yellow bill well so no doubt it was a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. Replies: There have been no replies.
