It had been some time since she had seen the little mouse on a more personal manner anyways. He was dutiful and for that, remained she was pleased. With the challenger having vanished she had sought out the young duel coated male. Part of her hated the fact she didn’t pursue him but the fact that she desired to stay close to remaining. It was with great ease she took off in the chill of winter to look for anyone who might be just within reach however it did not seem like she would have an easy search today the occasional breeze rustling her coat as she worked her way towards the western border.
If Sekhmet were honest she needed better knowledge and expansion that exceeded her borders and even that of the snake. Part of her felt the need to roam and hunt. It was an itch that couldn’t be scratched and a fire that burned in her throat as she uttered a low growl. Perhaps the search for her little mouse would need to wait. Pressing on at a trot she was no longer guided by her own desire for companionship but her hunger. How long had it been since she had hunted wolf flesh? Even if she didn’t recall it was far too long for her.
The sound of claw against wood saw that she pressed roughly forward. Her jaws parted wide as her tongue lashing across her upper lip as she moved. Eyes widened before her tongue was hidden behind their stained ivory cage and her body skidded to a stop. The mixture of curiosity and scolding crossed her eyes and brow as she watched the scene unfold. Would the mouse make the jump or would she end up having to pull him back to their healer by his ear? For now, she wouldn’t speak, simply watch.
