Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I have searched the pack for some time - she is elusive though it is no surprise considering her lineage. My search has been subtle and I seek only to make it known for whom I search when Underidge is in the shadows nearby - there is a lingering, unspoken threat in this hunt after all. It is a warning, I suppose, that he ought to keep himself reserved this winter despite Kamala's presence within Glorall. In truth, I am not seeking her for that purpose though but why let him know otherwise? Instead, I have grown curious about her because of her absences. Half-snake, I do wonder where it is she slithers off to.

And so it is rare to find such a fresh trail - I follow it closely, watchful of any extra paws that might join her on the shore but ah, she is alone. So, she does not bring things home with her? I note it but I do not allow the thought to show on my face for soon enough, she appears ahead of me. Instead, I slow my pace, a casual jog, snapping at several of the birds that part in her wake until I am at her side. It is only then that I give her a low growl of greeting. Unexpected? I do wonder. How good is she at hiding surprise? Or perhaps I have been expected for some time - then again, it is easy to make assumptions. I must not forget she is neither her father or any of his other children.

"Are you on your way to some place?" I seek to meet her eyes as my head tilts towards her in inquiry. "It'd be a shame to think I am a bother to Glorall's little mystery."
