Col Coyne, Marion and I attended ACE's memorial service at Currumbin RSL, the service was conducted by Ron (Bubbles)Workman ( ex RAAF) and members of that RSL. The service was rather excellent and all members spoke highly of Allan's contribution to that club and the legacy he has left behind in regards to the Veterans Sporting section of the establishment. He had also acted as the ANZAC/ Memorial Day Parade Warrant Officer for the last 20 odd years until about 18 months ago. Col and I expressed the sincere condolences to his daughters and partner from all the Airman Aircrew boys. The girls were extremely pleased to hear that so many remembered their dad and send their thanks, especially to Bernie Desmond, Bob Wheeler and John (Drinky) Drinkwater. Replies:
