The rainbow wolf yelped when she approached. Yelped. Surely she hadn't been that quiet in her approach? The rainbow apologized, and immediately Emerie wanted to say that no, it wasn't her fault, but she didn't know how to phrase it and was too afraid that it would sound awkward. And the younger wolf - were they related? The pink one acted like any mother would, but they looked nothing alike. At all. But that too was something she could not work up the courage to ask.
At least there was a question, something she could answer, even if it made her feel useless. "I'm sorry... I don't know where it is. I'm pretty unfamiliar with this place." The young one inquired about the ocean, but her speech patterns seemed awkward for some reason. Was she perhaps young enough to still be figuring out the language? Emerie remained silent.
