Eurig
WE'RE SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING MORE

Of all the colors of the rainbow that Eurig had found in precious metals and gemstones, gold was still his favorite - it matched his eyes. He grinned at his friend when she placed the bow in his lap, picking it up to exam it closely. It was fine work, as it always was, there were never any exceptions. Xeby always made the best stuff to embellish his already elaborate clothing for an orphan. As much as he was made fun of he always knew it was jealousy. While the other kids wore dirty clothes that were far too big or even too small. Eurig had always found a way to make the most out of what he was wearing.

With Xeby, they’d been able to turn something drab into something fab.

Eurig clipped it onto his collar and admired it. If fit in perfectly with the creamy whites of his shirt embellished with flecks of real gold he’d infused in it. The hemming was a deep brown color, with matching trousers. Even his caramel skin fit in with his decor, it was almost strange how he was able to do that like some sort of child model. If you really looked, you could see the patches of faded cloth - the age of the clothes was starting to show despite him maintaining them in impeccable condition. He frowned - everything ages with time he supposed.

Turning back to her he graciously accepted the lollipop she offered. He unwrapped it carefully and tucked the paper into his bag before sticking it in his mouth and rolling it across his tongue and into the hallow of his cheek. Grabbing hold of the stick he pulled it from between his lips and used it to point at the gem Xeby still held. “Of course darling, you name it, i’ll make it!” he waved it around like a wand before pointing it at Ruby, “Thank her for all the good finds, its like she talks to them.” he grinned, knowing that probably wasn’t the case but he’d found amusement in the thought nonetheless.

He settled back against the rock, his arms folded over his head as he looked up at the sky. The streams of colors were blending together. Dark blues, light blues, oranges, pinks, and golds - a melting pot of color in the sky at sunset. Eurig loved vibrance, he saw the beauty in most things and refused to see the ugly. That wasn’t to say he was a wholly good person, he was but if only a bit shallow. He’d happily continue to ignore that ruddy homeless witch at the corner of his street always begging for doubloon thinking he had any. She knew, after all, that he lived in a orphanage. And she was terrible to look at - and she smelt of spoiled milk and rotten veggies.

You know...When we grow up, we should open our own shop together in Laketon.” Slanting his eyes towards her a smile turning the corner of his lips flashing pearly white mostly baby teeth, he’d lost one of his lower incisors a few days prior, “What would we call it?” Feeling his lollipop growing mighty small, he placed it between his teeth and bit down. Shards of candy broke from the stalk and spread throughout his mouth to chew while he continued to hold the candy-less stick in his mouth like it was an accessory.
