alrighty, based on this it seems earlier is better than later.

unless anyone requests a move, round one will start september 1st and will last for 2 weeks. judging should take approximately a week depending on coordination between judges (there's always at least one internal and one external) and then round 2 should be late sept/early oct, with extenuating circumstances available for anyone who makes it through to round 2 but can't write during that time.
