I have also seen a mountain lion. It was in my back yard in Springvale about four years ago. I called the warden service and they tried to debunk my report. Believe me - I know what I saw! It was quite large with black markings on the sides of the muzzle. It was Tawny color with a very long, thick tail. The tip of the tail apeared to be slightly thicker and was darker. I had just been out doing yard work and had left my wheelbarrow to go into the house. the wheelbarrow is large and gave me a good comparison as to how large the cougar was. I would estimate the tail was 3 ft long, about the same length os the body.
