Her pups were growing stronger daily and she was pleased with them. Not only that she was pleased with her adviser. He, after all, had been playing tag with the mountain wolves and she was keen to know more. So she decided to set out curious if her pups would be in tow or would see fit to explore by themselves. She wouldn’t fault them for wanting to explore, after all, she knew they needed to feed their natures and see settled in a rhythmic pace the gnawing hunger growing the further she strayed from her den. She almost wondered if the deep permitted her to be sated because of the fact the children were of her own body.
The heat was never pleasant against her back, however, could her adviser be found in the evening? She was unsure and so she chose to seek him out after making her rounds. Marking the borders and scouting around for any signs of trespassers and yet she was pleased by Kweku’s work. The sun had started to be consumed by clouds, a roaring crack of thunder and the clouds flickered with light. Even the breeze carried the fresh scent of rain. Her paws stuck out at the earth, nose low to the ground hoping to catch Cuirass’ sent before the rain decided to fall and wash away his tracks making her job much more difficult. Within a few minutes she managed to catch his sent and so she was off, following his tracks.
A low melodious how rang out once she had reached the place where his scent was most abundant, an invitation to her children and a summon for her trusted adviser. She was invested in his actions with the mountains and felt maybe it was time to get in the know on what he had in store for them. If anyone else made their way to her she would ensure her adviser got a private audience if he so requested. After all, business came before casual conversation and perhaps even teaching her own children when it came to vital secrets. For now, in case she will wait under the branches of the Sparse tree that chose to dot the land, best to keep to dry areas in case it started to rain on her.
