Perhaps there was a thrill of grasping his ear in-between her teeth that seared through her bones like white-hot flames yet his idle nature did little to sway her lively nature. Still, he soon rose to her level and followed perhaps this led to the twitch in her tail, idly above her spine for a brief moment almost proud. Menkhet was proud of her brother too, even her siblings she assumed to be sleeping there was something she loved about testing them and when the playful sneer appeared on Kaliban’s maw her grin was practically ear to ear. He wasted no time stepping in front of her and placing a paw in the water. She was almost tempted to coax him in further but he shrugged and spoke of winter. She contemplated his statement for a moment. She had never experienced winter so perhaps her brother was on to something. Menkhet wanted to see what winter truly was but if this is where it lurked surely it was alluring enough to keep her attention.
Menkhet enjoyed his knowledge and yet she was unable to resist the urge to tackle her brother with his puffed up chest. She had even managed to knock him off his feet! Even with her clinging onto his scruff he managed to stand and tug them both to the water. Kaliban was strong and his strength was something she couldn’t help but take note to challenge. She loved him and his strength, she too sought to be even more powerful than he some day. So lost in thought Menkhet didn’t think much of her back paws being pulled into the chilly water it wasn’t until her brother rolled them into the ocean she let go. A hissing growl broke into laughter as she shook her pelt to dry herself as much as she could before taking a large paw to swiftly through the shallow water, kicking it up to splash her brother. He was devious and she loved that about his actions. Nothing was quite as exciting as the thought of playing where winter lurked, at least not at this moment.
Silver! Like a flash the glimmering moonlight was enough to illuminate off the silver scales of a small fish. Her brother not truly forgotten but perhaps not at the forefront of her thought at the very moment as she gazed into the froth and sea at the darting creature.
