Welcome to our new layout, Dusk! We would like to give a big thank you to the talented Fable for designing this layout and providing the graphics for it. If you happen to notice any bugs or issues with the new code, please report them on the Inbox or to either Shiva or Chaos in Discord. (We are already aware of a few and are working to resolve them as quickly as possible.)
We would also like to announce a few other updates to the site, as follows:
MAP:
In our last poll you told us that you wanted a map of The Lost Islands, and we are delighted to reveal that we have been working on this and have come up with a rough layout of the islands and their layout, along with the territories and general landmarks within them.
We hope this gives you all an idea of the general layout of the world of The Lost Islands, without taking away from your creative freedom to imagine all of the little personal details that make the game so special. This image will be displayed on the rules page, but you can see it here below as well (click to view the full-size image). We’d love to hear your feedback on it, if there is anything you as a group feel isn’t right, there is the possibility of some editing in the future.
MEMBER REFERRAL SCHEME:
We have decided to introduce a member referral scheme to encourage new players to come and try out our game. Existing players who refer a new member will be able to claim a small perk when that member meets a few simple conditions, as follows:
1) The new member must name you in their first joining post as the person who referred you.
2) The new member must remain active for at least one full TLI season (or one real life month).
3) During that season they should post in-character at least 4 times (that’s an average of once per week).
4) When all of these conditions have been met you should post on the Inbox with links to at least 4 in-character posts from the past season, and the perk you would like to receive as a reward. Once a mod confirms your referral, your perk will be listed on the Legends page and you can use it whenever you want.
5) The perks available for a member referral are any of your choice from the usual selection we offer as contest prizes, including: dibs on a set of twins, a full customizable foal, a foal stat re-roll, a dice battle re-roll, one extra point toward a roleplay battle score, and protection from raids, escapes and battles for 2 weeks.
6) There is no limit to the number of members you can refer, but you cannot refer the same member more than once if they leave the game and later return.
POSTING & ADVERTISING CONTEST:
We are also excited to announce that we are going to start another posting and advertising contest soon. We will make a separate thread for these so that you can post your entries separate to any other comments you might want to make here. We hope to see you all get involved!
ACTIVITY CHECK:
We are also going to be posting a new activity check very soon to get all of these beautiful new pages updated properly, so please keep an eye on the OOC board and Discord for an announcement when that starts.
