I recall the beer garden at Gitmo and only avoided getting "smashed" by overhearing some guy whisper, "Hey, let's get Charlie "stoned". I snuck out of there and got aboard a boat heading for the Wisconsin loaded with drunks. After boarding BB-64 we first were ordered to line up for inspection but quite a few couldn't stand at attention so the OD ordered us to clear the deck and get below.I do recall that I found Cuban beer to be much tastier than the Bud I had been used to.
