How unexpected. Or rather, he had expected it sooner. She hadn't seemed like the kind to just do something and then not go to see the fruits of her efforts. Or maybe that was him. He had to admit, he had been lazy but then again, why couldn't he be lazy? He had to take care of the borders and the Pharoah's children. If she had wanted a piece of that, she could have come to Asteraia too. He would've welcomed that but alas, he just had to welcome her now that she had made it obvious he was being called for. And so, he stretched, yawned and began to lug himself towards the border.
But he hadn't planned for Sekhmet to make it there first. Her arrival could be...interesting. He hadn't exactly been completely open about his activities in winter though he also hadn't done a single thing to hide it. It made him hesitate for a moment but he was quick to brush it aside, swaggering forward and watching the children bound about as Sekhmet took her place between they and their mother. She and Menkhet did not seem wholly pleased and his ears gave an uneasy quiver as he caught her words just in time to arrive beside her.
"She belongs to Apep but they," he gave a sweeping movement towards the pups with his muzzle, "partially belong to me." He gave them a sterner look then, evaluating how they had grown since he had last seen them. They'd gotten big but...not quite as large as the others. He supposed that made sense. Matianak didn't seem to come from the same stock as Sekhmet. "Are you leaving these here?" He inquired then, his eyes returning to Matianak before he took his place next to Sekhmet.
Ah, how ignorant he was. He could sense her tension but he had not considered they had known one another before Kweku's...winter encounter.
