News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

let's start a riot

"Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit..."
"There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain..."

The female didn't even seem phased by the reaction she got. It was like it was expected. That made Avery sober up faster than anything cause she didn't want to be just like everyone else with the female. She was her pack member. She was to be protected and encouraged in everything that made her unique. And she certainly was unique. Avery watched as she shifted her weight and twitched a little on and off. It all seemed like she either couldn't control it or it was just habit by this point. The female even paused a little before continuing forward, as if making sure Avery got a good look at her. The gaze looking back at her was observant and just as intense, though. This wolf hadn't lost any brain cells in her oddities. They didn't ruin her intelligence as far as Avery was concerned. The wolf grinned as Avery mentioned Aithne and instantly, she was more curious of this wolf and how she may have known Avery's best friend. The female then said that Avery had a hard life but it didn't show. She complimented Avery and said she had an energy. Avery's ears flicked back and forth at the new information, tilting her head as her brow lifted. "You see energy? Good. I hope to use it to bring this place back to life."

She didn't say anything in a way to tease or offend the female. She didn't doubt that the wolf saw energy. She was merely curious of all that she could do. Where best would she fit in? The female laughed when Avery mentioned the former alpha. She waited, ears pricked back toward the wolf, for her response. The wolf asked if she wanted a fight and Avery nodded without hesitation, her eyes twinkling with eagerness. "Oh yes. Fighting is my life. It's all I know. It's all I've ever known. I look forward to the fights to come." Her tail wagged in agreement. The female said that the former alpha was a snake and that they always come back, though maybe not as the same wolf. Avery nodded, her lips tugging into a small smile of agreement. "Yes, yes, they do." The female made a noise and Avery studied her. It was almost like she was longing for something. Did she desire a time without snakes and fighting? Avery wouldn't know what to do without an opponent. The wolf then said her name and Avery pricked her ears and straightened up, at the ready in case the female had a question or was going to ask something of her.

Then the wolf said a name and Avery knew this had to be her name. Beltane. Then she told her the titles she had been given in the past. It seems others had seen her talents as well for the titles fit what Avery was seeing and hearing. She was something different, though not in the twitches and odd behavior. No, it was the things she spoke that told Avery she had skills others did not. She seemed to want Avery to put her in a slot instead of choosing one as the others had done. That made sense. Avery didn't think she could lump Beltane with any of the classes she'd created in the pack so far. But there was always room for expansion. Beltane then started to tell her bits of her life as Avery had done. She was born in Asteraia. She told her some of the wolves she had served under. Avery remembered the Monster of Asteraia, and her eyes softened at the name of Aithne's first daughter, Aster. She remembered the birth, though it wasn't long after that Avery left Moladian. She didn't get to see Aster grow and take over Aithne's throne. Of course, she knew the Darkbringer was what the former alpha of Iromar was known as. Avery tilted her head thoughtfully as Beltane told her that her family was all either dead or gone. She mentioned something about them speaking again and Avery knew this had to do with her special skill. She narrowed her eyes for a minute as she thought. "Is it only the dead that speaks to you? Spirits?" Avery was trying to understand the wolf's talent. She wanted to know all that she could about it.

She wondered if the wolf heard voices or if there were other ways of communication. Did they touch her? Would she have heard Aithne? Avery knew she was grasping at straws there and that wouldn't get her any closure. She knew how Aithne had died and she knew the wolf who killed her was dead. It wouldn't bring her back. It wouldn't give her justice. It wouldn't do anything for Avery. Her eyes closed for a moment as she glanced at the ground, pushing away the painful thoughts. As if sharing her own close thoughts, Beltane shrugged and Avery glanced back up at her. She said that she would serve her now but asked what Avery's name would mean. She thought for a moment before letting out an exhale. "Hope. Life. Resurrection. Iromar was been cloaked in darkness for too long." She flicked her tail and waited to see how Beltane would respond. Would she agree or think it was just a hopeless cause? Would she see failure in Avery's future? She wasn't sure yet how her skills worked but she knew that she wanted to see more of it. Her lips twitched in the shadow of a smirk as she looked at Beltane a little more intently. "If I were to create a title for you as Seer, would you honor me by filling it? I wouldn't ask more of you than you have already given. I only want to know more of what you see and hear. I want to understand."

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
