Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Zelda

Mara had been working very hard in preparation for today, and Zelda had been too since she had offered to take up the job of overseeing the scavenger hunt. She spent the morning out and about, gathering together all the prizes that the children could win if they collected the items from the list. A thoroughly cleaned fallow deer skull offered from Glorall, dried hides that could be fun to chew on along with some colorful grouse feathers from Spirane, a pristine white snowshoe hare pelt hunted from the Tundra, a bison skull gifted from Asteraia, a brown bears pelt from the Taviora hunters, a flower crown that could double as den decor from Mara herself, then three neatly folded jackrabbit pouches provided from Meryl from Diveen. It was so nice to see so many of the packs come together and help give a few prizes. She wasn’t sure how all of them came about, but it was heartwarming. Her tail waved lightly as she lined them all up, keeping them as debri free as she could. She would welcome more prizes if others brought them, but really today was all about finally having fun.

Now, was getting to be late day. The feast, dance and other activities weren’t slated to start until it started getting dark, so the scavenger hunt was meant to kick the day off! Zelda sent up a call, her voice echoing through the forest around her to make it clear where she was at. Earlier in the morning she had confirmed her list of things for the participants to find. Mentally she made a checklist again of the following items.

A bone of any kind.
A feather of any kind.
A small pebble.
A maple tree leaf.
A pinecone.

Nothing too extravagant, but something she thought the pups would be able to find in the area. Somethings would be harder than others. Mostly bones she thought, but none of it impossible with some good noses and observant eyes. Settling into a sit Zelda waited for whatever group would gather. Explain the rules, basically no stealing from others, or the prizes, and have fun, before turning them loose into the area. She would keep her own guard up and make sure nothing bad happened to the group she was watching over. Of course she asked the wolves from her pack to keep an eye out, especially since it was taking place so close to their homeland, but it was an expansive area. Smiling though, she tried not to worry. It would be a nice time, all of it, she was sure of it.
