Nukillik followed her sister through the woods as they were searching for the beautiful russet pup they had played with as little ones. He witnessed one of Nukillik’s hallucination attacks and didn’t think she was insane. Thought she knew it wasn’t normal. Nuk would always have these defects in her life and it made her abnormal and different from others. She’d seen many things in their travels. From their fathers horned head, to beautiful rainbow wolves, but none were like her. None were going to be as different as her.

Their paws lead them to a sleeping beast that was the aged version of the young wolf they had been looking for. Would he have changed his mind on wanting to be their friend? Would he even remember the strange twins that claimed him so long ago? Nukillik hoped that he would remember them, she wanted another friend, one that wasn’t family.

She looked at her sister and they both nodded to each other, they wanted to wake up the male in front of them. Kallik came up to the right side of Nukillik and the way they stood was always the same. Nuk could see out of her left eye so she stood on the right side, while Kallik stood on the right due to being blind in the left eye. Most started to think they were seeing double when they noticed the twins standing near them, until they really focused and noticed the black patched on their eyes were in different places.

”I weaken all men for hours each day,” They started to say a riddle while moving closer to the wolf. Kallik’s body brushed softly against Nuk’s and they nodded again. ”I show you strange visions while you are away.” They said before gently licking his face and went to whisper the next line in his soft ears. ”I take you by night, but day take you back,” Kallik curled up against his back and Nukillik moved to lay against his belly. The girls laid their heads on his chest and looked right at his face. ”None suffer to have me, but do from lack, What am I?” they said the last line and continued to watch his face.

They silently hoped he’d wake up soon, they wanted to play again.
