You say, frontons like the new Calder one as if we have a clue as to how it's gonna be.
If it's like King's Court, where we can read "Recently released state records show a total of $1,914 wagered in July and $1,081 in August. That averages out to about $4 per game.", then that will be absolutely horrible, except for maybe some amateurs who get a chance to play a while and get paid for it.
But if it's like Magic City, where they make a true effort to make it bet-worthy, including streaming video and online wagering options, then at least there is a chance of it being worthwhile.
If it's King's Court style - just going thru the motions - I'd like to see all those venues decoupled from their parimutuel obligations and their casino licenses at the same time.
