Well, slap my face with a wet fish and chuck me in the Missouri which is indeed, according to various googled sources, the longest river in the US. Everybody in the Albert last night were 100% sure this must be wrong as we all "knew" it was the Mississippi and I had thought Brian had confirmed it when he googled it but I guess I must have misunderstood him.
It's funny, not to say disconcerting and embarrassing, when one of those 'facts' you thought you knew all along turns out not to be a fact at all. Just why DOES the Mississippi seem to loom in our imaginations more when it actually plays second fiddle to its less illustrious sister?
But that's a question for another time and so sincere apologies to Dunkin' Dönitz for all of us doubting their veracity. Maybe MOBO can lend us his Paddle of Rebuke to remind us to be more careful about which quiz questions we challenge in the future! Replies: There have been no replies.
