Luxa four - orion x nevaeh - former heiress of diveen The plans set forth for her brother and her had been so grand. To rule in the light with Noctis right behind her, her shadow, her protector. But where was Noctis now, even? Their family had been scattered and broken, and her parents had grown to be frail and dispassionate in their old age. It made her sad and angry to see the angels reduced to such a pitiful fragment of what they once had been. She remembered Vitaliya's betrayal-- her sister had wanted to make her own name. Maybe there was something to that, after all. Luxa sighed, watching the water rushing past her dainty paw. Maybe she could find a way to make her light shine fiercer than ever, so bright and overpowering that it couldn't be ignored.
Or maybe she should forget about light, about ruling and making the right decisions. Maybe she should forget about honor and chivalry and morality. Where had it gotten her, anyway? Her father? She snorted, growing agitated with her internal monologue that seemed to come to no resolution. But it seemed as though the universe still was looking out for her, because it offered up a very refreshing distraction. Her ears perked at the words and she turned her head, unable to keep from grinning when she saw him. Luxa rose to meet him, still heads shorter than the giant, shaking her head in a playful manner at what his words insinuated. She couldn't be outdone, not now, anyway. If he were to be daring, then there was nothing stopping her, either. Besides, who made the rules anymore, anyway? Luxa briefly touched her nose to his before running it up his muzzle towards his cheek, nuzzling into the fur there and letting him feel her warm breath before she pulled back. |
