Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Sila
i can feel the thunder that’s breaking in your heart
There had been a commotion regarding Melee some time ago, an unusual thing that had seemingly lead to Spirane changing leadership once more, though one of two sisters still retained control. Sila was prone to fretting and even when Spirane had become peaceful once again, she finds herself often taking leave down the mountainside and into the free lands beyond. Samus was yet to return and though Sila's heart was but an open wound over her remaining as such, she tries to think of the positives - Samus was exploring, after all, herself and the lands beyond. That was good, no? Sila was always telling others such advice, after all. She didn't want to be a hypocrite on top of everything! Perhaps, she thinks, that is why she has become so prone to exploring herself.

Winter, she knows, is soon to arrive and already she can feel it nipping at the backs of her heels. The fields are vast, the wind singing a song through the tall grass, as she treks across its expanse with a sigh. Prey was sparse - should she return to Spirane prematurely? The thought makes her pause, her lips taut for a moment before she shakes her head and breathes a sigh once more. No, not now. It was no use to go back when one still felt comfortable - she wanted to push her boundaries a little, not stay comfortably within their confines. And so she continues on at a jog, eyes up at the sky as she watches the clouds drift by, her thoughts free to roam in the serenity...

Until she hears another nearby; footsteps, fast but not urgent, a song in their stride. It makes her stop again, her eyes searching hungrily for this newcomer, her ears tall and stiff. The pace is... so familiar, her mind immediately conjuring images of her mother, the silver and white of her fur dancing in the breeze...her laugh, sing-song and sweet... Sila feels a knot in her throat, a difficult thing to swallow down as the heat reaches her eyes. Ah, it is not her mother - no, it is another woman in the distance, dark and dancing. For a moment, Sila curses her for not being Niviaq despite the impossibility of such (Sila had been the one to bury her, after all) but she soon curses herself for the very thought of it. Who was she to be such a way towards a stranger?! It is that thought that drives her to begin towards the stranger, adamant to make things right to atone for her momentary sin. "Excuse me, miss!" She calls out, a meek smile and a wave of her tail offered as a treaty. It had been an embarrassingly long time since she had met somebody new...she isn't even sure if she knows how to do it anymore!
