Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Like a thread connecting them, he could feel her worry in the same way he knew his own loss and pain must be feeding into her, probably causing all the worry to begin with. He felt bad for dragging his imprint into this. She didn't deserve to feel his hurt. He was hiding it from Triton the best he could, but he didn't know how to turn it off once he let himself feel it. It was like a virus that took over and overwhelmed him. He knew Talien was coming and there was no way for him to talk her out of it. He would just have to meet her so they could find solace in each other. His soul called out for her even as his heart continued to weep for the love he'd lost. He knew Inanna wasn't dead and she could come back to him. She loved him and Triton. He had no doubt of that. She just loved adventure more and he didn't want to get in her way.

When Talien came into view, he already could feel the first tendrils of their soul bond connecting them. The words ached as he said them but he saw the realization flash in her eyes. Before he knew it, Talien had moved toward him, pulling him into a strong embrace. He buried himself in her fur, breathing in her scent, somehow knowing it would help. His tail stayed tucked behind him as his tears wet her fur. She whispered his name and in response, he whimpered. He knew there was nothing she could do to bring Inanna back or heal his broken heart, but just by being here, he felt his soul taking up the slack. It felt whole while they were so close and he took comfort from that. She said that she was sorry and licked his ear and he sighed, burying his nose in her fur once more. As she stepped back, he felt himself tense, knowing he would have to look at her and not feel like the strong whole male he used to be.

She told him that Inanna loved him and his lips twitched in a small smile. His eyes lit up if just for a second or two before dulling again as he nodded. "I know." He would never doubt that. He finally sniffled and turned away from her, attempting to compose himself as his tail twitched. He wiped his paw across his face, trying to wipe the tears away before he turned back to face her. "I'm sorry to drag you out here like this." He offered a sheepish smile.
