Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He didn't know what the usual time for grieving is when you lose a mate but he didn't see the pain ending any time soon. She wasn't dead so that was something. He knew there was always a chance she would come back to him some day. She had just gone off to explore the rest of the world outside Moladian. One day she would surely miss him and Triton enough to return. She wasn't his imprint either so that was another thing. He'd heard the rumors of the sharp pain one feels when their imprint is ripped from this world. Many wolves succumb to the pain and follow in their imprint's footsteps, unable to face this world without their soul mate. It was sad and yet beautiful. Thor had not lost his imprint but he had lost a good chunk of his heart and it hurt like hell.

He tried to keep himself busy by patrolling Glorall and taking care of Triton but his son was growing older and more independent. He wouldn't need Thor for much longer. Some days, Thor only thought Triton stayed around to make him feel better, to make him feel needed. He wasn't even decrepit yet and already his son was treating him like an invalid. How poetic. But Thor brushed the thoughts from his mind as he wandered through the sands of his home land. When he heard the sudden bark, he turned his head in surprise, gaze widening as he saw Eden heading toward him. It had been a while since he'd spoke with his alpha. He immediately remembered his manners and dipped his head in respect, his tail waving behind him to let Eden know he was welcome to be here. Thor still did his best to remain strong for his family and his pack.

As Eden called out his name, Thor gave a small smile. It was only half as bright as his usual smile but he was trying, though the glimmer had dulled in his eyes. Perhaps some day he'd get it back. "Eden." He said back in a soft voice. Eden apologized, saying he was preoccupied and Thor shook his head. "No need. I know you have many responsibilities." His gaze averted to the ground, wanting his alpha to know he didn't hold him responsible for anything. He knew Eden was busy with running the pack and keeping out threats. Finally he glanced back up, meeting Eden's gaze momentarily. "What can I help you with?"
