He missed his friend, Aspis. He missed Asteraia. He missed his mother - heavens forbid anyone ever know that. There was a lot that the two-year old wished were still true and real. When their mother had vanished without so much as a trace his entire world fell into a void. Despite all of Eclipse’s faults in her parenting ways there was still a strong connection to the boy. He had loved his mother and fear her almost as equally. Even so, the lack of her presence changed him and the unstable ways of Asteraia didn’t help. He had become cold toward his siblings, more specifically Corona, for all the times that their mother had favored her above he and Saros. Eventually, Prometheus had recoiled so much inside himself that he simply left to live alone in the tundra.

He survived there, if barely so, and kept mostly to the southern parts of Lumira. From there he could keep venture further and keep an eye on Asteraia for Aspis and Aster. But now… none of that mattered. They were all gone at this point. Aspis’ scent had faded so quickly that Prometheus was sure the boy had died.

But something lured him back down into Moladion’s core; a something he couldn’t quite explain or put his paw on. He just knew that he should go. By the time autumn was upon the tundra he made the move to leave and find warmer weather, wherever that may be.

His coat had thickened significantly for the colder temperatures, bulking up his figure, and despite being only two-years old he was a sight to see. The strong blood of his parents lent him power and his long legs carried him quickly to where he desired to be. Soon enough he had reached the woodland and found that there was much going on during this time of the year.

Yellow and gray eyes slipped from one bumbling pup to another as he jogged through the trees. Each appeared to be on the hunt for something and hardly noticed that Prometheus was even passing through. There were so many of them and he couldn’t understand why. There was no way he had breached a territorial border and if he had then surely he would be set upon rather quickly. The sound of a squealing pup had him whipping his head toward the sound, wondering if something terrible had befallen them. But no sooner than he had turned did his chest bump roughly into the body of another. His attention snapped back to whoever it was that he had just disturbed and found it to be none other than his own half-brother.

Immediately, his slate tipped tail began to wag and a playful whine burst from his lips. ”Saros!” he exclaimed as his whole body nearly wiggled with excitement. ”It’s been too long, brother,” he spoke again in a smooth voice that had already deepened to a medium timbre with his age. Prometheus threw a paw up at Saros’ shoulder to happily jest with him before calming down a bit. ”I’m sorry that I-” he stopped for a moment as the movement of another caught his eye. His eyes shifted to see the familiar figure of Corona standing nearly out of view and he backed up so that he could see them both. ”left you. Both of you,” he continued where he had cut himself off. ”I’m sorry for everything I did since…. since mom left,” he nearly winced at the last part but held himself together in front of his siblings.

”How have you been?” he questioned as he tried to move past the subject, but they may not let him skirt around the issue so easily.
