At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.
S E R A P H I N A Sera can’t help but giggle at Vladimir’s display of cocky assuredness. She knows not everyone sees his fun side, but Vlad never fails to make her laugh. Knowing her mate, he doesn’t mind that in the slightest. He softens immediately, instead moving into a gentle nuzzle. The princess leans into his touch, the corners of her lips turning up into a smile and she angles her head to give him a light kiss on the cheek. “You know that for me there is no other… every other female may as well be my sister. And if ever you were to swoon and land and my paws, I would already be flat on the ground, my body ready to break your fall.” “And I thank Tor everyday that we were destined to be together. Though,” Sera can’t help but snort at the thought, “I’d fight any other lady vying for your affection if we weren’t. I’d let nothing keep me from you.” And Seraphina is far from a fighter, far too slight and small. Still, for Vladimir she’d defeat any femme in her way with sheer ferocity. Luckily, it will never come to that. Once upon a time, when things had first changed, the princess had had her share of doubt and insecurity over all of this. What if Vlad was wrong and they weren’t soulmates? What if he found someone else? Those had long since been laid to rest. The prince has given her no reason to ever doubt him and she can feel how much he loves her. Sera truly believes that this is how it’ll be until they reach the end of their lives. But the pair are still young and assuming they will die natural deaths, there’s no need to think of that now. Instead, she can focus on enjoying spending this time with her mate. The subject of Ziva and Qiturah has flared up some of Vlad’s anger and he stalks into the icy water in search of crab to distract himself. Sera does her best to soothe the worries, but the knight only shrugs at her, directing his attention at his hunt. She hopes that he has heard her and his nerves will be somewhat settled. She understands his protectiveness - how can she not? - but she also understands that the girls need their own space and such. Sera and Vlad will always be there for him whenever they need, but they can’t keep them safe from everything. Besides, if her own parents had been so protective over her (though given the chance she’s sure they would have been), she’d have gone mad and grown to hate them. They may not get along, but the matter is unrelated. Seraphina shakes the thought from her mind. She’s not easily angered, but this is the one thing that never fails to get a rise out of her and she doesn’t want to think about that sort of thing if she doesn’t have to. Living happily is far preferable. Having arranged everything for her, Vladimir lays down and stares up at her as though she’s the only thing in the world. At the mention of him trying some of his catch however, his nose wrinkles. “My love, I do no pretend to understand why you enjoy such a… meal as that. And if you asked me to eat it, I would, for you. But… I do beg of you not to ask that of me. The texture is all… flaky and oily. And it is so salty. And the taste is just… yelck. I would much prefer that you enjoy your favorite food, darling, and as for my battle scar, it was not for nothing - it was for your enjoyment. So enjoy.” Sera pouts at the prince. “I never enjoy seeing you get hurt, even if it is for me. Since you asked so kindly though, I will not torture you with crab, even if it is so delicious for all the reasons you think it’s disgusting.” Her emeralds follow him as he rolls onto his back, the picture of relaxation and contentment and the princess smiles at him fondly. He returns to the topic of their daughters and Sera listens intently and she works her way through her meal. His fears of their deaths or assaults are ones that resonate with her, but only Vladimir can truly understand the soulmate fears he has for them. Sera can only hope her children are so fortunate as she. “We can’t protect them from the world, Vlad. You know that. All we can do is hope that fate shines on them. You’ll only make yourself sick if you keep worrying like this.” Her tongue runs over her lips, the last of the crab finished, and she leans so her face is over his. “And you’re never coarse and angry with me. It is I who is lucky.” Seraphina steps back a bit to give him space as the prince rolls back onto his front and stands, the pale sand covering him like a cape. He shakes gently, so as not to send the tiny particles flying, and Sera (and her eyes) are grateful for that. Though it’s been a long time, she still recalls the few sandstorms she lived through as a child and how much the sand stung. Vlad’s warm breath tickles her a bit as he cleans the bits of shell that have gotten caught in her fur and his muzzle press against her momentarily before he pulls away. Too soon, in Sera’s a opinion, and she cocks her head at him. “Full now, my love? Sated? Because… I am craving something else.” She quirks a brow at him, a coy smile slowly forming on her lips. “You mentioned before I could have whatever I wanted as a reward for being your shining knight… well… I can think of one thing in particular...” His teeth find her ear and sparks through Sera’s body. “... that you could do to repay me.” Vladimir is back to visage, this time with kisses. Sera turns so they’re face to face, her emeralds half-lidded. “Hmm, I suppose such a reward can be arranged for one so handsome as you,” she purrs. Sera rubs her head on the underside of Vlad’s maw, pressing as close to him as she possibly can. She steps around him a bit until her head rests on his spine and her hindquarters are at his chest and her tail slowly drags up his neck. This is not their first rodeo. They are no longer fumbling and shy. They’re grown and experienced now and that means that they can have more fun with each other. Sera wants Vlad to smell her perfume. She wants to intoxicate him like never before. She turns carefully, still keeping contact with her mate and returns to her original position in front of him. “I am more than willing to oblige.” |
