Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

He wasn't expecting to run into another out here. Sure, he knew there were other wolves out and about in the crags. It was free land to loners and pack wolves alike so why not? But he had done his best to avoid the scents so he could be alone for a little bit, at least until he had a game plan together. He had family scattered through Moladian, it would seem, but none of them seemed to know he existed. His litter mate, Silas, was gone. Loki knew this without doubt. He had half brothers since his father Enderly couldn't stay with one female long enough, it would seem, but whether any of them save Shadow even knew he existed remained to be seen. His parents were dead or gone, Enderly having been killed by a family member, no less, and he had no idea about Eris. It was like she simply vanished.

At least Loki had gotten a chance to meet the female who killed his father. Blackthorne told him her name but the real mystery was why she did the bidding of his half brother, Underidge. It was like something else controlled them. She spoke oddly but wouldn't answer any of his questions when he tried. He didn't want vengeance for Enderly. What good would that do? No, he was merely curious as to why she felt motivated to kill him. Something about the Shade, was all she could talk about, as if it were a living, breathing thing that controlled her. At first he thought she might consider Underidge to be the Shade, but from what Blackthorne told him, Underidge believed in this Shade also but didn't think of it as himself. It was all rather confusing and Loki wasn't sure he wanted to dive into it but at some point, he might have to. He did plan on finding his half brother, anyway, to get some answers.

But today he was just trying to figure out how to get to the bottom of the waterfall. There was a peaceful little pond at the bottom, the perfect place to clear his mind and think. But another walked out of the shadows, a female. She drank from the pond without a care in the world and he merely watched, a statue from above. But something must have hinted at his presence cause she started to search around as if startled, her hackles rising and it was a strangely attractive sight. Did she mean to attack if he told of his location or would she calm down? He tilted his head, wondering which sounded more appealing. Finally he laid down across the top of the cliff overlooking the waterfall, clearing his throat. "I am up here. Did your hear me?" He was curious as to how she knew to look for someone. Was it as simple as hearing his paws step on something or did his scent carry down to her?
