Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Every now and then a dark ear would flick as the cool breeze tickled it. Focused on the scent trails that cut through the fields, Sera continued to root around, lifting her head to the breeze now and then to sample the scents there but nothing reminded her of that night. Grunting, she snapped peevishly at a bit of dried long grass, gnawing on it in frustration before spitting it out. If she could just get a small break it would go a long way to renewing her hope that she’d find her other half again. She’d not even felt this level of aimlessness when searching for their brother. As odd as the thought was to think, in that moment, if she had to choose between finding her brother or her imprint, she would absolutely choose the brindled brute who’d caught her letting out her inner pup to play and in the process caught her heart and soul along with it.

Sera didn’t even question that she’d given herself completely over to the wolf she’d known for no more than a few hours. Fate had chosen him for her and she would not let him go. Fallen or not she was of angel blood and she would not deny fate. No, the nameless wolf would be hers; she would find him and take him back to Glorall and Haziel. He would be her home and would amuse her with his silly words. But she’d have to find him first. Determination renewed for the moment, Seraphina turned her attention to some barren shrubs, shoving her head in their midst, trying to decipher the various scents that marked them.

It was while she was picking apart the scent markings that she felt the vibrations through her paws. Frowning, Sera lifted her head and look to the front of her and then to the right. It was as she was swinging her head to the left that she caught sight of a dark shape hurtling towards her. She barely had time to brace herself and curl a lip on a startled snarl when the male slammed into her side and took her down with him. Her snarl turned into a shrill yowl of overwrought delight as the moment the streak of brindled darkness touched her she knew. It was him!

Twisting and squirming and wriggling with the exuberance of an overly excited pup, Sera set about damn near smothering the poor fellow as she bathed his entire face with canine kisses, her tail whacking the ground to the beat of her racing heart. All thought had receded from her mind but for one. She’d found him! She had her soul back and refused to let him out of her sight again. Words were lost on a moment such as this and her joy momentarily blinded her to the poor condition of her imprint.
