The dark boy narrowed his eyes at her suspiciously for a moment. The idea someone might follow him hadn't really occurred to him, but at least it wasn't an adult. They liked to put a damper on adventures sometimes. Sure, Balor's mother was perfectly willing to teach him things about his heritage and what he would one day become. However, that wasn't the same as going into the world. Apparently, this one had a similar idea. He hadn't met other pups from the pack, not really.
So the end decision for him was to determine if she was following for a specific reason. His black, teal marbled eyes eyed her a moment more as she explained herself. Balor let out a sharp breath through his nose before finally nodding. At least she started to lie and decided against it. Good. As for going alone, he wondered why not go alone. "That's really part of the fun though, going by yourself," he said with a smirk.
"You say it's not interesting by yourself. You sure it's not cause you were scared to leave home?" It was a small jab to see how she'd react. Regardless of how Bastet reacted, he still motioned with his head for her to come along as he started to pad further into the fields. Here the grasses were more than tall enough to conceal them from the outside world to a degree. There was some level of safety to be had to survive, but the world was out there before them with adventures to be had.
