The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

O N I A S
There's a bad moon on the rise

It was electrifying to be close to her--the world seemed so quiet and still, as if their energies had passed them into another plane. She seemed to be pleased by his comment, animated in a way he hadn't expected. Perhaps his assumption would not have to remain as one. He stood still as she sniffed around him, eyeing her out of the corner of his eye as she circled around him. "I saw it, yes." He replied, his tail giving a slight twitch, nervous with her body being so near. Onias had never felt such an intimacy before. While he was wise in the ways of this world and the next, he had never taken a mate, and her touch (or, almost touch) was a territory he had never explored before.

Ah, yes, he had heard of the things of which she spoke. Imprinting--he had heard the word from many tongues in this land. He had never felt the emptiness so many describe and simply had to wonder if he was a wolf unsuited for the task. After all, his soul had been split in pieces long ago, divvied up into the domains of dark gods and black magic. Perhaps there was none of it left to give to another, or it had been tainted so much that it was his burden alone. But, regardless, he had never felt such a feeling-- and when Beltane spoke of her own fullness his skin tingled. "You are powerful now." he said, softly. Onias looked up at her with a hungry glint in his orange eyes, tilting his head as if in thought. She came to stand close to his side and his eyes followed, meeting hers as the moon began to rise.

Onias let out a long, slow breath as she spoke. Perhaps his purity was a valuable tool, but there was nothing else pure left in him. His mind and body had been used for ritual and magic since he was very young and he doubted it had left any part of him untouched. He pressed his fur against hers before turning his body to face hers, his angular nose pointed upwards at her face. "My blood is dangerous, listener. Many beings have tasted it." He raised an eyebrow, moving forward towards her so that his mouth was stretched towards her ear. He could feel his cheek fur brushing against hers, and the male wanted nothing more... "Whatever comes of our union, they will be... special."
