Niyol held his prize happily, he had wrested it from the rodent and was ready to drop it off to Zelda. First thing down! All the rest of the list, that he had forgotten already, to go! He wriggled proudly, but awkwardly on the branch until it sort of dawned on him. He wasn’t exactly in the best of positions. Sure he wasn’t very high up, but he knew the fall would still hurt when he, almost certainly, would hit the ground. Well crap. As he tried to balance himself it only got worse, his legs shook under him, the branch, even with his small size, was a little too narrow, weak and small to handle his insistent wriggling about.

Then the girl he barely even noticed before started yelling at him. Ahhh! Ahh! Don’t do that! It’s not that easy, ya’know!?” He said immediately spitting the cone out of his mouth at the start. ”NoOoooOO!” Ni shrieked watching in slow motion as it fell towards the ground and towards the tan and brown pelted girl beneath him. That was the last straw on the branches back, and his legs, his balance lost he flopped off of the branch right after his cone in a completely not so graceful fashion and hit the ground. He had enough falls to know to roll himself as he did so, but there was still a rough thud, followed by him going “oof”, before rolling in the leaves and debris of the ground.

”Why is getting down always the hard part?” He moaned flopped on the ground twisted in a very broken looking way, but really it was just his flexible body, to her though she might have thought she was talking to a broken bodied creature. He was twisted around so that he could look at her for a moment, staring blankly around looking a bit annoyed. His shoulder where he landed throbbed a bit, but it wasn’t anything he couldn’t handle. For whatever reason he was pretty hardy, it was then that his eyes lit up as they landed back on his prize.

”OH! Oh! Hey!” His body untwisted and he got back up to his feet as if not bothered by this series of events at all. Really he wasn’t. Scrambling over to his pinecone he placed a paw on it, ”Easy peasy! One item down!” He gloated proudly, almost completely unaware of the girl and how she might have felt about this entire situation.
