Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Kill, or Be Killed...

There was no way this could ever be a comfortable situation for anyone. Even here again, Asriel still recoiled slightly at the appearance of her body. His uncertainty of his actions were ebbing away, especially at this look at her again while he was calmer, less frantic mindset. No wolf should live like that. They should be free of there broken body and released, allowed to move on into the afterlife where they were once again whole. His ear twitched slightly, listening to his father as he moved around the area, the scent of the other drowned out but present between them. Asriel thought that if he found the other he would kill them, after all, his sister lived and suffered for a long time like that. Her rasping breaths, her dying word echoing in his mind again. No… No he wouldn’t think too much about that, and he certainly wouldn’t tell his father that.

His golden eyes met his father’s own, looking deep into them to see how he felt. Was there rage? Anger? HIs father was as hard to read as ever. Slowly they drifted to Moteuh and still Asriel watched him, a frown set on his muzzle, brows knit together before a sneer set on looking repulsed. Asriel didn’t want to think it was an act. Maybe his father did indeed understand. A sigh escaped his maw in slight relief, for while Asriel was slowly coming to terms with what he had done, and that he felt right in doing it, he still had that worry that maybe his father wouldn’t. That he would be expunged from his family. He would have been hurt beyond belief if his father would have turned on him. Would he have fought back? Or would he accept his father’s punishment and judgement? He supposed now he wouldn’t ever have to know.

Slowly his father speaks his name, turning him in in time with his words and their eyes met again. He was quite serious when he said that Mote died when they were young, that she was drowned in the waters of Iromar. This wolf was not her, and never could be her. Asriel nodded, he thought much the same in some regards, but the last word she spoke still echoed in his ears. Brother? That bothered him, but beyond that Asriel knew the wolf he had killed was not his sibling. She had no recollection of who he, or even she was. She may have known her name, but that was all she knew, maybe, for all he knew, his captor was well aware of who she was and called her by the name of her birth. Someday, Asriel hoped he would get the chance to ask.

When his father brought up Asriel’s mother, his ears tipped back slightly, but really, he didn’t need to say it. Asriel agreed. No one else needed to know. They were better off not knowing. Even Shem. It would be easier for him to think she had always been dead. Even though all of them, for a long time felt she might still be out there somewhere. It was horrible to know they were right, more horrible to know the truth. She lived for years in a miserable body, not knowing her history, her family. How could she have enjoyed life?

”Are we burying her? As she should have been years ago?” He asks, it was apparent that he could go if he wanted, but, this vessel at one point was his siblings. He freed her but part of him still knew it was her at one point. How would it have been if she had her memories he wondered? Would he still have done it? He had to question it. The wolf he killed acted as a stranger, it was still hard as she had the body of his sister, but if she acted like his sister too? He wondered.

Part of him knew he would have, but the other side liked to think he wouldn't've.
