Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He knew he couldn't literally keep her from getting sick but at least he could reassure her that it wasn't his purpose to get her sick by asking her to dance in the rain. Now he was just determined to have her do that with him some day. She smiled and nudged his shoulder and despite his own sadness, he still felt a bit of satisfaction to know he could bring a smile to her face. In the end, she had a way of reminding him there was someone else that needed to be taken care of too and he shouldn't only think of himself. He knew that probably wasn't her intent but it was a good distraction from his own heartbreak to think about her instead. As they walked to the den, he tried to explain crab meat to her but could tell she was still dubious.

She especially seemed doubtful when he told her that it didn't really bleed but he wanted her to at least try to meat and see if she liked it. She told him she would try it couldn't say it would ever trump red meat. He smirked. "Probably not but it'll be a nice change. The deer are thanking me even now for introducing a new meat into your vocabulary." He said with a sly chuckle. Her laughter was so light and airy that it made his chest swell with a newfound happiness. Inanna's absence would always leave a hole inside him but at least Talien helped fill it with her happiness when she was around. When they got to the den, he paused to let her take everything in, noting the way her gaze averted around his bedding. His lips twitched in humor, if only cause it wasn't so much a private space anymore. He only shared it with his son now a days.

Finally he stepped forward, careful not to look too much at the collections of rocks and shells that Inanna had stored in here as he made his way to the storage for food. He found some crabs and put one at Talien's paws, forgetting that she might not know how to get into the shell. He watched her almost expectantly before she looked up at him and asked how to eat it. He shook his head. "No, you don't eat the shell. Here, watch." He placed a paw over the shell of the other crab and brought his mouth down over it. In one crunch, he'd broken the shell. He then dropped the crab and using his paw and teeth, he pushed away parts of the shell until there was white meat on the den floor. That, he nudged closer to Talien. "That's the meat. Ready to try some?"
