He didn't know how the other wolf knew his brother but then Niyol was better at exploring Taviora and meeting the wolves in it than Mochi. Mochi took to the free lands more often to meet loners and other pack wolves. It was almost sad, the confusion in Niyol's face vs. the almost hesitant look in the older wolf's face when he saw Niyol. When was a pirate ever hesitant about hurting someone's feelings? Mochi knew something was up and he was protective over his brother. The older male stepped closer, baring his fangs and putting on a good show of hostility but Mochi wasn't buying it. He knew the stone wasn't really stolen which means this guy couldn't have it. Now maybe he did have something worth having and he thought the boys were going to take it but Mochi was still suspicious.

His brother was more stubborn than he gave him credit for though. When he told him to run, Niyol said that he wasn't leaving him behind. Mochi grit his teeth in frustration at the situation, knowing that in all honesty, they should both probably run but then this guy would win and Mochi didn't want that either. Was there a win-win in this? Probably not. The male stepped toward him, saying everything isn't always what it seems. He was trying to look menacing but Mochi only scowled up at him. Then the male said that they should both run. Mochi snarled back in response. "You'd like that, wouldn't you? What are you protecting?" He stomped his paw in a demanding way. Sure he wasn't much to look at yet but he already had the attitude of his future weight.

The male said that it was better to be a pretend pirate than a real one and he yelled at him to scat but Mochi held his ground. Then he heard Niyol's voice telling him to get back. He turned his head to his brother only to see Niyol launch himself at the wolf. His eyes widened in shock. Usually his brother was the deceptive one, sneaking and decieving others from the shadows. He wasn't a fighter. He usually left that to Mochi so what was he doing? Mochi gasped. "Niyol, you're gonna get yourself hurt!" He felt like the scolding adult right not but he could only think of how much trouble he would get into if they got back and Niyol was hurt. He heard Niyol yelling as he attacked, something about getting away from him and Mochi couldn't help but smirk a little despite the situation. Niyol was trying to protect him? This was a new one. He decided to play it off as the plan all along. What could go wrong, right?

"That's right, Niyol, give him the ol' one-two!" He tried to dart around the older wolf. "Now...what are you hiding?" He mumbled to himself as he tried to sniff and look around. Were there really treasures here the wolf was hiding? If so, he wanted in on it!
