Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Matianak was not expecting her young friend to greet her first. Yet, she was hardly surprised. The grey woman had been away for the better part of a year, all things considered. But she had learned some useful things. After all of that, it was time to come home. It was strange to see her children react to the place as they went their own ways to explore. Sadly, his greeting went rather unnoticed by young Rangda as she darted away. The pup didn't care about meeting Triton, not today at least.

She gave a smile as he approached. "Good to see you, Triton. I'm sorry it's been so long since I last saw you," Matianak said. She could see the look on his face, especially after he asked who had just raced past him. "That is Rangda," she answered simply.

She tilted her head slightly. Her pale eyes lingered on Triton as he glanced towards her daughter and back to her. "It's perfectly alright to ask questions. But to answer some, yes she is my daughter. And no, she is not the only one. I have another daughter and a son as well," she said. Matianak knew that was just the beginning. She wondered how Triton would feel about that. She would not deny anything, maybe mask the truth to a degree to spare his feelings. Mat did know that the younger male did have a crush on her, but she felt like that wouldn't change how he felt. Not in the long run at least.
