An eternity had slipped by in the form of months and seasons. Raw and unfiltered it had beat mercilessly against the hessian for whom it chased endlessly. The one who ran ceaselessly away from it’s raking claws and biting remarks that haunted him even behind the millisecond of a blinking eyelid. It had started as night terrors, that would wake him to the sound his own voice screaming ‘no’ repeatedly and begging for forgiveness from that tall stilted silhouette. The piercing spire of hatred would once more reopen the gaping hole within the steely male’s heart. Those saltine tears would brim upon his lids, desperately clinging to their edges like the silence that suffocated his tongue. Then those nightmares began to haunt him even among daylight hours. Voices echoed through corridors of the verdant hollows and in the fractional moment of his lids closing he could see the hatred filled emeralds that had stared sightlessly at him as he left. Their glaring reflective properties showing him the fatalistic flaws in his existence, but somewhere in those depths he still felt a thin thread clinging to its meek existence. Clearly now was not the time or place to amend this tether, but instead Castiel shielded it protectively away from the grossly horrific episodes of their ruinous night and its aftermath.

Hoping one day maybe Tiresias might give him a hope again, because with all his heart and soul Castiel knew there was no other who would complete him as Tiresias had.

In the throes of their passion, there had been tied an inextricable knot. To which neither male would ever be able to break or tie. Physically they had been one. And by magic Castiel knew that his soul was bound infinitely to Tiresias’. And as much as his heart cried out for it’s other half, to which is had found, Castiel had turned deaf to it. It maintained a somewhat debilitating effect on him, because he no longer seemed to take pleasure in life. The simplest tasks of hygiene and selfcare were exhausting. Momentarily he had found a Arcus Irae to defend and this had replaced all woes of his corporeal existence, but since she had long disappeared from those caverns and back to safety the tempest lacked the fulfilling ambience that the rainbow had provided. The only thing that had kept him at bay was the pretense that he would have to finally face his own brother to see her again. And as he always had since the day he left, Castiel childishly feared this reunion. Irrational thoughts and ideas told him that he would receive a retribution almost as great as the one Tiresias had given him. And Castiel was loath to feel such anguish and retaliation once more.

So, like many other times before, the glacial eyed tempest began to roam all over creation. Feeding, sleeping, and bathing as absolutely necessary. His skeletal frame maintained minimum musculature to endure to long walks and occasional hunts. The hunts served as a minimum food source to keep his body from complete starvation. And the bathes kept his fur from utter wreckage, although it was impossible to hide to the dull coloration that had tainted his once glossy pelt.

There was one place to which the ex-prince had no intent of returning or visiting, Gen Seid. The lake he had rescued Tiresias’ aunt from in their first meeting, years later reunited with him for a second time, and where they had lived at until their untimely parting. So at all costs the boy avoided its beaches and scenic outcroppings, and instead had taken to the watery inlets that fed the streams, who’s sustenance came from the mother river in Glaesfaet Sceawere. A small cave had become his home, where he traversed back to each night after exploring the area and its neighboring arenas. Fish and various berries sustained him here along the shoreline. Nothing piqued his interest all that much until one day the same overwhelming positivity he had felt from Losa seemed to imbue his senses. Blinding him to all else but whoever’s existence it was that resided nearby. It drew him in with partial curiosity and mostly an innate instinct to gravitate towards this aura. And by all accounts Tiresias could not have been more surprised by what he saw. It was a gathering of Tempests and rainbows, but within it’s core were his blood brother Vladimir and his half-brother Aindreas. The same young rainbow ladies he had seen before minus the one he was bound to, Losa. Still their overwhelming and innate positivity showered him, beginning to fill in that gaping hole which Tiresias had left within his chest. Although his knew it would never be whole without the other male.

Luminous glacial orbs peered at this conglomeration of wolves from the foliage, his instincts still wary of the intrusion his presence might cause. The pit of loneliness in his stomach felt heavier by the second as he watched, almost incredulously. Slight jealously at the family which his brother had managed to hold around himself. And what did Castiel have? Nothing but a dead lover and a soulmate who refused to believe their love could ever be righteous in the eyes of the gods. But against all odds the steely toned hessian stepped out from beneath the undergrowth, his orbs watching with acute intensity the reaction of his brother’s. For none else mattered to him, for they were his only family there. One’s that he recognized as such.

Vladimir…
