Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was nice to hear her laughter. Seemed he was still good at telling corny jokes. She wagged her tail and said that they should be lining up at the entrance to offer him presents. He chuckled. "They should, too. I like presents." He watched the careful way she was eying the crab, saying it would take a lot to make her turn away from good deer meat. He smirked. "Well, deer is always good when you can get it. In the meantime, there's plenty of crabs to go around." He tilted his head, watching with curiosity as she bent down and sniffed the crab. He was patient, letting her take her time in getting to know the meat. When she asked though, he grabbed the crab, breaking the shell for her so he could get to the meat. Once he got the meat out, he nudged it toward her, wanting her to take her first bite.

When she picked it up in her mouth, he watched, ears flicking back and forth as she chewed on it. He could tell she didn't outright hate it. Finally once she'd finished chewing, she looked at him and he knew already that it was a win cause of the new light in her eyes. He smiled with triumph, his own eyes bright as she said that it was no rabbit but it was good. He nodded. "See? Not terrible." Then she pointed at him, saying he needed to eat too. He grinned, glancing back at himself then at her, tilting his head as if to see her better. "I don't know. I think your fur just makes you look fluffier. But fine. As long as you eat another one. Indulge me." His brow lifted daringly even as he got another crab out of their stash and put it by her.

He went back to the other crab, immediately breaking the shell as before and eating the insides. He even took his time breaking the legs and getting the meat out of them as well to show her it was there. When he was done, he licked his lips and sat down. "What are your plans the rest of the day?"
