She was unflappable the girl was. The moment he said to pack up and come she was moving right along behind him. Imprint or no, that child or no, there she was sticking to him as always. She was so good, too good, he waited for the day someone would try to bend her, show her the truth of what he was. He didn’t think he would ever let that happen. Not willingly at least. So few knew what he was inside after all. He wanted more though. He wouldn’t lie, he liked his little golden girl to run around bringing him others to have around as he saw fit to use to his will. Lefteris had ended up being far too much of a coward to be much use, but it made her happy, gave him another body, now he was gone. Then that pup too that she managed, he never was around the kid much, but seemed like he was happier in the forest. Shame… Maybe he could feel what this was, what he was. Puppies were creepy like that. Trusted their instincts if they had them a little more cause they didn’t have any experiences to blind them. What did it matter though? He had the important one.

Still it bothered him to be far from his own Soul again. He wished that she too would come under him as Magpie had. Then again, she had a pack, family and he guessed her own work to attend too. Would that mean if Magpie had found a more grounded imprint that she too would leave him? He didn’t like that… he didn’t like that thought one bit. He liked his golden girl around, she helped him, she was entertaining, and what was more she seemed to bring in other wolves so easily. She helped him blend and he liked that all on its own. He also had to say that he felt he would be unhappy if she were to leave. Would he stop her? Probably not, but he would be disappointed to say the least.

Thing was, Lefteris didn’t follow. She seemed happy to dig out the den, she even exclaimed as such when he asked. She was full of questions too. ”Yes, there is much to do. I will hunt while you fix them up if that would help you focus more. As for the boy you took in, you can always visit, and he is old enough now to make it on his own. You have helped him survive. He should be grateful.” He said rolling his shoulders watching her still zoom about with anxiety and fervor. One thing was for sure, while she always had a bit of energy, she certainly was buzzing today. She even came up to him, placing her nose into the rough of his fur. She had grown a lot, she was now tall as or taller than him now, yet her persona had hardly changed.

”I will smell of the forest for some time I think. Maybe I should bathe in the swamps to get my old smell back.” He remarked with a false grin. It was a joke, there was no way he would willingly sink himself into so much muck this time of year all for a change of scent, but he had to act normal, right?
