Much had changed, it seemed, in the year and a half since I had met the white wolf Arturio and given him my word that we would aid those in need should a war ever arise between him and the swamp demon (his words, not mine) of Iromar. But Blackthorne no longer ruled the moorland, and in fact Arturio had once more risen to power himself - in Diveen rather than Asteraia this time. Asteraia. My hackles would prickle unbidden when I thought too long on matters of the grassland pack. That was another matter altogether that needed to be dealt with, but today it was the call of the latest leader of Iromar that pierced the mountain air. I could hardly deny my curiosity at what had transpired there, and in what direction the pack would now move under its new leadership.

Jogging across the snowy terrain, I made my way towards the location from which the call had risen. I paused momentarily at a slight overhang of rock, peering down towards the borders when I spotted the obsidian shewolf. She was not alone, however - a small golden wolf stood before her. I grinned, grateful as ever for our Razorwhip. Tyrion had earned the position and title tenfold. He was a frequent aid to Kalseru and myself, greeting emissaries from other packs when we were unavailable, and handling other diplomatic matters as need be. Today, however, I would not leave the task to him alone. I wished to learn what had transpired in Iromar these past few months first hand.

Finishing my descent down the ridgeline, I found myself on even ground with the new leader of Iromar and my Razorwhip, picking up a jog once more and approaching them. I carried myself with the stature of an alpha, a natural regalness about me which I had inherited from my mother. Coming to stand near to Tyrion, I nodded my snout first in acknowledgement and greeting to my pack mate, then in turn to the unknown shewolf. "Greetings, I am Nymeria Mountainborn, Bewilderbeast of Spirane and protector of the realm." Certainly the two had been in conversation for at least a short while before my arrival, and so I did not see a need to ask her what had brought her to the borders of my pack lands. After all, it was easy enough to assume she had come to represent herself and her pack to me and mine. I was interested to hear what she had to say.
