Surf Scoter

A female surf scoter is in the bay above the Port Sydney dam and has fishing line wrapped around her. It goes through her mouth, through her wings and around her tail. Aspen wildlife tried to catch her to cut the line off her but couldn't. If she gets too tired and can't free herself, another attempt will be made. Fishermen need to be more responsible with discarding their lines, put it in a bag and dispose of it in the garbage so wildlife doesn't have to pay the price. If you go to see her, be careful not to scare her, she's in enough discomfort.
