Menkhet was quick to appear, something that didn't entirely surprise him but it did excite him. She had a certain viciousness about her that Kaliban mostly lacked; she was, after all, much closer to their mother than he. Kaliban had taken a path more akin to his father's though he was fast beginning to understand that Kweku was a little...undisciplined to say the least. Perhaps it was why he liked his sister so much, because she kept him too busy to ever let him become lazy. Whatever the reason, her presence gave him a confidence boost as she slithered up beside their sister - he found himself standing taller, puffing his chest out a little, giving Lamia a suave grin. (Well, he imagined it to be suave at least!)
When she began to speak, Lamia that was, Kaliban was immediately captivated - she spoke unlike he or his kin. He thought it was refined speech though it lacked the formality and honorable inflection of their mother and Menkhet (of which Kaliban had seemingly been unable to acquire entirely). His ears pricked up, his head gently tilting as he listened to her with a curious grin.
"So, another Sister. What should we be calling you then? I was assigned the name Kaliban," he was more than happy to give his name whereas Menket, he knew, may be less than likely to do so. Of course, Kaliban was also more inclined to like others simply by virtue of them being, well, fine looking or interesting with their words. Their new sister was a bit of both, though he knew he ought to feel a little suspicious towards her - so he tried. He kept his eyes closely trained on her, though he lacked any real fear. What could she do to them that they couldn't do back ten times over? For now though, Kaliban saw it fairly plainly: Menkhet was the leader, the fighter, and she would ultimately make a decision as to whether this new Sister would be a real Sister and as for Kaliban? Well, he'd do the talking if needed, and he'd more than likely be the one to extend a more kind hand if Menket decided she was a suitable sibling.
"Is there a reason you didn't care to meet our father?" He finally inquired, his posture dropping to something more casual in an effort to coax out a more relaxed answer from her too. "Weren't you curious about whether you had other siblings too?"
