PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Ain't life just awful strange

a new world hangs outside the window
beautiful and strange
it must be I've fallen awake
I must be

The stout young mare feels a wave of relief wash over her, albeit temporarily, when this stranger gets right to the point about her mother. But the muscles that bunched her of her thick hide remained frozen. Nevertheless, Wasp brings herself to nod her heavy head once in understanding.

It felt as if life on the Peak had come to stand still with Macabre gone. First it was Jetta and her son. Then it was Oswin. Now all that remained was herself... and Bozena. The young mare was grateful for Bozena, of course. But the time spent only in one other's company was beginning to make her feel stir crazy. It was easy to get swept up in terrible thoughts and fantasies. She worried so much about her dainty dam all alone in the Lagoon. Wasp had seen first hand what Cullen could do, after all.

"Thanks for being kind to her." Wasp said after some time, her amber eyes transfixed upon the roan mare's. It settled her a bit to know that someone showed her mother kindness, at least, during this tumultuous period. "How did you end up there?" She asked curiously, with the flick of her matted, dark tail.

"She is strong." Wasp reiterated with another firm bob of her head. "But Cullen...." Her words trail off as she tears her gaze away for a long moment. "How did you get out? How can we get her out?"

It was a lot, of course to pepper a stranger doing some mare a favor with questions like these. It showed how childish Wasp still really was, despite her looming adult-like frame. But Wasp was desperate. For anything or anyone, who could her help and her mom. All of this toiling around alone, among the boulders of the ever-quiet Peak terrain, just wouldn't suffice.
