Cuirass had an inkling the alpha liked the sound of being feared anyway, which is why he went with the whole "showing them it's not safe" idea. They've stayed hidden up there on their mountain top and not gotten involved in anything. It was time that changed. Cuirass wanted them on the defensive if he couldn't have them on the offensive. It was just a goal of his. In the meantime, while Asteraia was on the offensive, they didn't have to worry so much about the defense of the borders. Not that Cuirass still wasn't doing his duty of watching said borders. He had just noticed the low count of bodies even near their borders. They were gaining a reputation and he loved it. Then he teased the larger male about his recruitment of members only involving one night of effort. When he mentioned Boneskull though, the male reminded him that he knew it took more than one night.
Fine, Cuirass could give him that. He shrugged. "Depends on the kind of recruitor you want to be but fine, if you're going to do it right, then it takes many more days and nights to turn them into the kind of member any alpha would be lucky to have." Then they jumped to a game of mine's bigger than yours, apparently. Funny, Cuirass must have missed that invitation. The male asked if Boneskull hunted for him and explained how he told the kid he was protecting the pack by doing so. Then he ate what his kid killed. It was a good plan, Cuirass had to hand it to him, but he saw a few chinks in that carefully laid plan, especially when he thought of Boneskull. "Clever, but when your hunter is almost as deceptive as you are, I know better than to eat anything he's brought me. Might have died of sickness or something. I taught him more than how to hunt. I taught him how survive and thrive in a world built on lies. It would have been my own fault if he turned that around on me."
Then the male gave a name, Kweku. Well, of course he had to be different. At least it wasn't a mouthful or anything. Cuirass tilted his head. In a way, he guessed, it fit him. Then he offered to help Cuirass muzzle someone the next time he brought them to the borders. Cuirass nodded with a smirk. "I'll have to remember that." Maybe the support wouldn't be so bad, especially for those runners like Strawberry and Inara. Then there was the invitation to something more and Cuirass didn't miss it this time. Kweku said patrolling borders was boring and he wanted to do something fun. Cuirass didn't miss the lift of the male's brow, as if challenging him to give him just that. Oh, and Cuirass would deliver. His smirk tugged into a toothy grin as his tail swished behind him. "Then fun, you shall have. Want to take to the free lands? I'm sure we could have our share of....fun." All it takes is one innocent loner and bingo, you have your fun.
