The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

I didn't need him to be nice to me, heck, I don't know why I needed him at all. I still didn't understand the strange pull that I felt towards him-- it was unreal to think of some times. I wanted to understand, I really did, but at the same time, I don't know what fate was thinking, pairing me with him. We weren't anything alike and I preferred my solitude anyway. But it seemed that the fates were telling me other things.

The thoughts continued to swirl and whirl in my mind, a never ending cycle of unsure feelings that never stopped cycling in my mind. What was this mess? I don't want it. But apparently it's what I'm supposed to do. I whined, low in my throat as I tucked my head back to the cold ground, trying to get the cold to soothe my aches and pains. Why was I cursed with this messed up fate? My luck that I had to be saddled with a sensitive skin that burned with the slightest hint of sunlight.

I heard his voice again, and I sighed, wanting nothing but to slip off and fall asleep, because I didn't have the energy to get up and move. "What's it to you anyway? You don't really seem to like me anyway. " I growled as I lifted my head back up. He went on to talk about me needing water. I laughed low. "So? I'll get it when I'm ready." I looked up at him just as he headed my way with his jaws open towards my scruff. I yelped, scooting away from him as fast as I could.

"You really think you can manhandle me like that?!" A low growl rumbled out of my chest as I sat, blinking slowly to ignore the pain.
