She hated seeing the lost emotions in the female's eyes when she turned to see who was approaching. It ate at Avery's heart to see anyone feeling so empty. The mother in her was very protective and she tended to see any younger wolf as a child in need of protecting, especially when they looked so vulnerable. Her voice sounded much the same as she looked, asking how to take that step. She said she had nothing to go forward for and Avery's gaze softened as she listed all the loved ones she lost. Then she shook her head. "You're wrong. You have a whole life left to live. You have yourself and sometimes, that's all you need. You deserve to take that step, for you alone if not for anyone else. I'm sure the ones who loved you would agree." She offered a gentle coaxing smile.
"I'm Avery, by the way." She waited patiently, not asking for the female's name. She didn't want to push for any information the female might not be ready to give. She only wanted the female to know that she was here with honest intentions. She was willing to share anything to let the girl know that she wasn't trying to benefit herself in any way. She was only trying to help.
