She seemed to always be surprising others - she couldn't help but notice it. Then again, Avery hadn't proved to be a difficult wolf to read which Beltane did, in fact, appreciate greatly. She made her happiness obvious, her surprise well known, and her intentions clear with her words and body alike. Beltane had come to appreciate that, along with how she had begun encouraging others within Iromar to do the same. That, Beltane thought, was what truly separated Avery from the Darkbringer - Avery wanted others to be honest with themselves, as well. Balance. It always came down to that, didn't it? Two sides of the same stone; birds of feather; push and pull. And now she was about to bring life into Iromar where there had been plenty of death.
Of course, such generosity and openness still caught Beltane off guard at times. It ws not so much that Beltane had been treated poorly throughout her life, but she had seldom seen others present so much kindness without expectation of some kind; the Darkbringer had given her his type of kindness but she had always been acutely aware of her position, knowing well she would be required to read and answer at his summons. Avery, however, did not seem to expect the same.
At first, she blinked, surprised perhaps by the offer but in that same moment, she shook her head and grinned. She looked up at the sky thoughtfully for a moment before she tilted her head back down to meet Avery once again.
