News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

Return to Lunar Children
SHE WAS SMILING LIKE SUNSHINE.
IP: 58.172.43.36

Surprisingly, the pregnancy had gone smoothly, or at least smoother than Cersei had expected. It had taken Sinclair some time to truly understand that yes, it really was happening but after that, he'd been an even more diligent mate despite Cersei's occasional frustration over him exerting himself. She'd eventually calmed down and had allowed them to stay in the forests, though she had spent several days securing their little private clearing herself. She'd never experienced a restlessness quite like it, but she found it surprisingly pleasant. Of course, she did...dislike the changes that accompanied them; she had to sleep on her side, had to wiggle just that little bit extra to get down into the den...she was just glad Sinclair had never uttered the word chubby around her lest she feed him to their growing children. Overall, it had been an interesting winter, albeit more exciting than the several before.

That familiar anxiety had struck again though and she had demanded with little room for negotiation that they move to their intended home. It had been a sudden surge of frantic restlessness and red-hot instinct, and she had all but ripped their dens to shreds and buried it before Sinclair had given up on trying to calm her. Cersei had learned that of all the wolves in the world, a pregnant wolf was the hardest to sway. She'd apologize eventually but in the meantime, they had started their journey to Diveen come first daylight. It wasn't a particularly grueling journey, though she had been clear about bypassing Asteraia as much as possible. Oh, and she had neglected to tell him that during their journey, at some point or another, she had felt something was off - and by that, she had certainly meant that during one of their rest breaks by the water, her very own water had broken. She'd concealed it quite easily - an 'oops!' of falling back into the shallow water, an easy way to explain it. There was no way she was going to let them be born by some river! But by the time they had begun to near the borders of Diveen, it was harder to hide: she bit down on her own teeth, forced to stop every few times from muscle spasms. She was, at times, glad Sinclair was a bit clueless.

The sun was warm, and Diveen's western border was practically beneath them. She'd stopped for a moment and with a gentle clearing of her throat, she addressed Sinclair with absolute calmness - "My love, I just need a moment. Please don't...look for a while. Could you go call the alpha?" She grinned, a difficult feat as her entire body threatened to implode. Then, the moment Sinclair agreed and turned away, she practically burst into a frantic pant, spinning and turning on the spot as she desperately tried to disagree with her own body. No, just a while longer! I've waited two months, I can wait longer! But, her body responded, that simply was not true, and with the greatest pain she had ever experienced, she felt something drop. She blinked, the pain suddenly gone - a daze, of course, for the pain certainly still existed - and she frantically checked between her legs. She practically yelped in surprise, a pale, wiggling mass screaming out for attention. She dared not admit to what she did next, of course, for it was certainly un-ladylike but she would, at least, admit to curling around that little mass in a hazy, half-there daze. She really should have found a den instead, or helped Sinclair call the alpha, or anything else and yet, she was paralyzed with the need to curl up around what she'd start realizing (soon enough) was a child.

In much the same vein, she barely felt the second one; she must have looked quite strange to any bystander, a wolf caught between confusion and focus. Try as she might, she really could not battle through the fog of hormones and pain, her entire mind overtaken by simple, unwavering instinct. Get up, in said, spin and do what you just did thirty minutes ago. So she did, and though the first child howled with an absolute need for attention, she spun, bit her own teeth, and met with a second wiggling mass. Pale and loud again, and just as quickly covered up by Cersei's own body.

It had been over in a flash, shockingly easy and swift, and as she slowly came back to her senses, she swallowed down the embarrassment of what motherhood made you do - and what it made you eat. She found herself coiled up, hot and bothered, but surprised by how quickly a body could descend into maddening pain and come out the other side. Sinclair had only been gone for...perhaps an hour, she thought, and he'd surely be returning soon. How was she supposed to act normal in that instance though? She was unwilling to uncoil, and the children were silent with contentment as they fed. She sighed and laughed to herself - ah! She'd just have to act like everything was normal, wouldn't she? Maybe she'd get lucky and they'd both just think she was a bit too lazy to stand up.

cersei,
