Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.
Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things  |
_________________________________________________________________________ Fatherhood had changed the young male. He never imagined that this would happen to him, at least not until he had settled down and found a mate. But fate would have it that the one and only time he was with a female would lead to her becoming pregnant. Lupin felt a mixture of emotions when he found out…panic, fear, excitement, happiness. There was so much that was unknown to him. Did he have feelings for Briseis? Would he grow to love her while she raised their young? Would she allow him to be in her life? Would he force himself into her life if not? There were so many unanswered questions that he had to think about. For now though he wanted to focus on the pups. Briseis had been resistant to his approach at first, but once she realized he didn’t pose a threat to her or their young, she let him into the den. Even though they had just been born, they were the most beautiful beings he had ever seen. He couldn’t believe that he had a part in making them. As he snuggled in to be both with the pups and their mother, Briseis went on to speak. What she said was concerning, and he knew he would have to convince her to let him stay. He knew that there was something she wasn’t telling him. Something that made her afraid. But he couldn’t help her if she didn’t share the information. Whatever it was though he would handle. He wasn’t going to let anything come between him and his new family. ”It doesn’t matter what it is, Briseis. I can handle it. I’ll have to. For you and for them.” His scarred muzzle nuzzled into her, to show that he was sincere about what he said. And then time passed as it would for any family. They built a routine where Briseis spent more time with the pups and Lupin would bring her food and anything else she should need. He also took time to watch the pups so that Bri could go out and stretch her legs and to not always be cooped up. It was as if they were a real family. He wasn’t sure what this made them though. He had grown very fond of the femme. But he wasn’t sure if he was in love with her or more in love with their family. He was still quite attracted to her, but none of that made them mates by default. It was something he wondered about often, but didn’t want to ruin what they had so never said anything or questioned their relationship. At least not out loud. The male had been gone for a bit longer than he meant to be. He had wandered off further than he normally did to hunt and had gotten lost in thought, not realizing how much time had passed and he ended up spending a couple nights away from Bri and the pups. Taking his time to get back up the mountain cliffs, he kept an eye out for anything that he could bring back to Bri. He caught the scent of a rabbit, and immediately he was in hunting mode. His form low to the ground as he stalked around the rocks, determining where the smaller beast was hiding. He found it, and made quick work of it with one well timed leap. The fresh kill in his jaws, he made his way to the den they had made. The pups were bigger now, and were starting to explore the world around them. He hoped to be able to take them on adventures with him soon. Pushing into the den, he dropped the rabbit in front of the femme, a smile on his face in greeting. ”I’m sorry I was gone so long.
