Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Why it had seemed to be an eternal mystery as to why Sera's belly had continued to grow despite the shortage of food in the Glorall territory, everything seemed to make sense when late in the afternoon on a sunny, early spring day, pain rippled across the wolf's distended belly. A bit alarmed, Sera stopped her hunt for crustaceans on the beach and turned back toward the den. Instincts seemed to kick in and before long she was nestled back into the expanded abode, fussing with the bedding grumpily. She pushed it one way and laid down, decided she didn't like it there and pushed it back, kicking and scraping until she finally made herself comfortable.

She'd begun to suspect that perhaps whatever was in her might be alive when it had started moving, kicking her and pushing out against skin but as the pains increased and came closer together, it was like a clarion bell rang of revelation across her mind in the silence of her world. Sure enough, before long she'd brought a pup into the world followed shortly by another, both brindled like Ravenwing....and tiny! Staring at them in awe and confusion her mind put together things that she had either never been taught or forgotten long about about winter heat bringing the patter of feet come spring.

"I wasn't fat." She muttered to herself as she nudged at one of the tiny brindled lumps and pulled back when it jerked and opened its mouth. "Oh dear..." It suddenly seemed to dawn on the middle-aged wolf what implications having pups would have on her life and that of her imprint. She couldn't hear the little noises that pups no doubt made...and they were so small! Anxiety gripped her as her mind began to methodically list off everything that she could do wrong.

As the two little lumps of fur wriggled closer, Seraphina froze and was almost too scared to breathe. She was so much bigger than them...what if she rolled over on them and crushed them? Sweet fluff, where was her imprint?!
